Rishani Vettyvel
Vettyvel Law was founded by Rishani Vettyvel in 2016.
Prior to establishing her own practice, Rishani obtained her Bachelors of Business Administration (B.B.A) from the University of Toronto, where she specialized in Finance and Strategic Management. She then moved to the United Kingdom and obtained her Bachelor’s of Law (LL.B Hons) from City University of London. During her time in the UK, Rishani was a member of a number argumentative essay writing services of organizations, including the Free Representations Unit, where she provided legal advice, case interesting topics for presentation in english class preparation, and advocacy under the supervision of case workers pertaining to unfair dismissal and other employment litigation matters. Upon returning to Canada, she pursued her Master of Laws degree (LL.M) from Osgoode Hall Law School, while working simultaneously in the areas of Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice at various mediation centres. During this time, Rishani also worked at the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC), where she specialized in legislation, regulations, guidelines, and procedures relevant to Municipal Law, with specific reference to the Assessment Act, Municipal Act 2001, and the City of Toronto Act 2006.
Rishani then pursued her articles at Marani Law, where she focused on Residential Real Estate, Refinance of Mortgages, Immigration Law, Corporate Law and Wills & Power of Attorneys.
Rishani is fluent in English and proficient in Tamil. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Law Society of Upper Canada. She is also a part-time lecturer at Homelife/Future Realty Inc. where she teaches Property Law. She is licensed to practice law in the Province of Ontario.
Amanda Valentine
Amanda Valentine joined Vettyvel Law as an Associate in 2020 following her call to the Ontario Bar. Vettyvel Law is a boutique Law firm in Scarborough which is powered by a team of dynamic and dedicated ladies. Amanda’s practice areas include Real Estate Law, Business Law and Wills and Estates.
Amanda began working in the legal field for Thomson Reuters as a Research Analyst at the age of seventeen and continued her legal journey for a personal injury firm for six years. Amanda earned her J.D. from the University of Ottawa after successfully completing an honors degree in Law and Society from York University and was placed on the Dean’s List.
While pursuing her Law degree, Amanda volunteered at Pro Bono Ontario where she had the opportunity to teach high school students about the Charter and assisted clients with their legal issues. Upon graduating from Law school, Amanda completed her articling at the Constituency Office of Mitzie Hunter and assisted people from her community of Scarborough where she lived throughout her childhood.
Aside from Law, Amanda is an avid reader, moviegoer and loves trying food from all cuisines!
